vent window latches 140-160

Couple questions on this subject....

First, of course my front vent window latches have fallen off.... I know ipd and other places sell an alternative latch with the screw town tightener, but I don't like it a whole lot. I found a different sort of latches on ebay which I bought... unfortunately, one of the two seem to have fallen out of the box somewhere between here and Sweden where they came from. Qustion being, does anyone have another? These are made by "Koppany" and have printed "Bp.11.HENGER U.5." and are patented. Anyone ever seen such things or better yet...anyone have a spare? I can provide a picture of the one I have...eventually.

Second question...this could go for either the fronts or rear (early 140 wagon with opening rear quarterlights)... THe latches at the rear have also popped off, and I was wondering about the possibility of drilling/grinding a hole through the glass, and drilling/tapping the latch itself.... and screwing them on. Has anyone ever tried that either at the front or rear?

Anyone had any luck with the rear view mirror glue in these applications? The top pivot hinges were also free when I got the car, and the glue seems to be holding those well, but I expect these a good bit more pressure on the latches....

Thanks,
Matt
