Fuel Pump Failure? 200 1982

I believe my fuel pump has given out on the old clunker... I hope not, but that's my uneducated diagnosis. Can anyone tell me the easy way to find out, and test it? Could it be the Fuel Pump Relay? Can someone please tell me where the FP Relay is, and how to troubleshoot it? I disconnected the intake from the fuel filter, cranked the car and no fuel came out. I realize that the car has two fuel pumps, but I'm hoping the problem is with the external one (easier to work on the side of the road).
