Installing Jumbo Brakes on a non-ABS car

So John, lemme get this straight: there are two techniques to upgrade to Jumbos on a non-ABS car. Either buy the larger bracket from a 90-91 745 with larger rotors, get the larger rotors, and re-use the existing calipers and pads; or plug the extra lines and upgrade the whole shebang to jumbo calipers from a 900 series with ABS. Is this correct?
