Tire sizes 140-160

I would say that a 195/60-14 is a good bit smaller than the stock size... a 196/60-15 is a little bit too small usually...

If I were you, I'd find a good set of 15" rims....such as 240 turbo wheels, and go with 195/65-15. They are almost just right as far as overall diameter, they handle better than stock, but the ain't so wide as to screw with the steering feel.

Wide super low profile tires to not necessarily make a car handle better... Usually they jsut make your ride harsher, your steering feel worse, and you wallet a lot lighter...

Then again, you were planning to do some autocross stuff or something? If thats right, then I suppose you could go with maybe a 205/60-15. Don't forget to do all the other usual suspension stuff too though! And....for acceleration, keep your rear end the same. If you want low highway rpms, best just to find an overdrive gearbox...
