89 740GL Acceleration problem after starting

740Gl 5speed After starting and warming up (or not) the car tends to have a "flat" spot in acceleration to the point where it seems it will cut off. If I turn ignition off and then back on again it typically clears up and accels fine. Ive done tune up, filters etc. but still has problem. Any help on this would be great thanks. Fairway
