Fuel Milage on a 244DL? 200 1984

I purchased my first Volvo about a year ago. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what type of fuel milage I should be getting. I realize that will vary from car to car depending on conditions, but I'm just looking for a rough idea. I'm getting about 250 KM to a tank (about 50 liters of fuel) in my '84 244DL. To me, that seems like not very good fuel milage, but I've got nothing to compare it against. So I'm looking to you all in this forum to let me know what you are getting for milage.
