Seat belt lengths, 1979- vs. 1982+? 200

I read on crashtest.com and on brickboard that the 1979 244 got only a 1 star rating on a NHTSA 35mph front crash test, but 1982 and later models got 4 or 5 star ratings.

I also read a long time ago that Volvo redesigned the seat belts between 1979 and 1982 to shorten the belt to reduce stretching, which allowed the dummy to hit things in the 1979 test.

Can anyone who has access to both a 1979 or earlier and a 1982 or later 200-series car check the seat belt lengths (obviously, don't compare coupes with sedans or wagons)? And if there is a difference, would anyone be able to check to see whether the 1980 and 1981 models were like the earlier or later models?
