Hi Jorn,
FYI The changeover in the US from coarse input shaft splines to fine splines
was 1979. The 1979 M45 and M46 have fine splines and a single shifter
rail inside the tranny. I'd keep the newer flywheel and use the older throwout
bearing and it'll all work in the older M46 with the M47 bell housing on
the M46.
