How tight should vacume lines hold onto connectors? 200 1993

So I can't spell vaccume!

:) How tight should they be? The larger ones with clamps obviously should not budge. But how tight should the smaller ones be? Should one have to twist and pull or is it ok if they just slide/pop off rather easily? e.g the one that goes to the firewall just slides off effortlessly on mine. Too loose?

Just wondering if they are getting old and air is slipping into loose connections.

If too loose, how can you "tighten"/seal them up?

Thanks.

I wish someone published an extensive list/FAQ of what parts should look like or feel like or sound like. Having only owned the car in its 10th year makes it hard to know what's not acting quite right. Then again, I also wish I wasn't a perfectionist and could just turn up the radio. :)
