O2 Sensor 900 1992

My O2 sensor appears to have gone bad. The FAQ talk about it being on the manifold. The removal portion of the FAQ says it's right next to the CAT, that sounds like an exhaust pipe. I got asked the other day as I was trying to buy one if it is in the pipe or the manifold. I have not crawled under the car to check. Manifold or pipe? Can you help?
