Tailgate electrical 200 1986

While fiddling around with the inside panel and making sure connections were tight, I`ve come to realize that awhile back when I rewired the tailgate harnesses, I don`t think that I made a new ground wire. Around the same time, I remember losing power to the doorlocks(all)and that the passenger window (front) is the only one that works (from its switch).
Do these run on the same electrical circuit as the tailgate accessories? (they work)
Where do I hook up a ground wire?
The relays (door lock and window)were replaced. Often when the heat is on I can hear them click behind the dash fascia where they are mounted. Also cleaned the drivers door switches a couple of times, too.
I`m not knowledgeable when it comes to this type of stuff but would like to straighten out an old problem.
Any ideers? thanks for your input.
