heater blower working intermittently 700 1989

My blower fan has been working on and off, more often off. I had to replace the fan speed switch about a month ago. It worked fine for a month but then one day there was nothing. When I go all the way to number 5 I hear a audible "click" but that's it. Yesterday I tried the switch for kicks and it worked on all speeds. I stopped to fuel up and when I tried to turn on the fan... nothing. Any ideas?
