engine replacement---1990 240 200

My engine runs good, but It makes noises: a very pronouced, what I believe is, piston slap when its cold. And then a knocking sound after its warmed up.

Im considering an engine change. Possibly this coming summer. I need input on a couple questions 1. who has a good reputation for selling good used engines? 2. If I cant get a good used one, wheres the best place to get a good rebuilt at a reasonable price? 3. anything that anyone has to say on this subject, I would be interested in reading.
