142 tie rods/front brake calipers 140-160 1973

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the tie-rods are interchangeable (i.e. left or right side are the same) on the 140 series?

Re the calipers, in any caliper I've ever seen (other car makes) you remove the caliper by undoing a couple of bolts and lifting it away with the flex lines attached. On my new/old 142, it looks like there is a little bracket on the front dust shields that attaches one of the brake lines and so I think you must have to open the lines to remove the caliper. Correct?
