Plug wires - should I pay more? 700 1987

Today the rain came and the humidity spiked for the first time since I bought my lemmon 740...needless to say she wouldn't start today...she cranks, the fuel pump seems to be whirring, she just doesnt fire up - aside from a slight sputter when I release the ignition key after cranking. It appears as though the current plug wire set is rather old and nasty - could be the source of the problem, but should be replaced either way. I am following the trouble shooting guide in the 700/900 FAQ section. The question is this - I could pay a total of about $40 for higher end ignition wire set or about $23 for a boche set. Is there a compelling reason to shell out the additional cash? Thanks - caleb
