srs light on S90-V90 1998

Before you can fix it you must know what to fix. The procedure is to read the fault code to determine what the problem is. This is done thru the OBD II connector with a scan tool. You may find that your local AutoZone will do this at no charge. In any event I would stay away from the dealer, find a independent Volvo servicer with a good reputation and the capability to service the SRS system.

Was any recent work done on the car which could have disturbed wiring and connectors?

Would be interested to know what developes.
