Knock sensor/FI engine temp sensor 700

1986 740 GLE B230F. I have some confusion as to where the Knock sensor and the FI
engine temp sensor are located. I think I can see what looks like the knock sensor
on the engine block left side as described here. Black disc shape with the connector on the side. There is a sensor on the head above that. I thought it this was the temp guage sensor. Is this the FI temp sensor? And if so where is the temp guage sensor?
