No start. Fuel pump relay fuse holder was junk. 200

Had a no start condition over the weekend. AMM I thought but reseated the connector and have had no more probs. Had intermittent power to the fuel pump relay ($45.00 at dealer). Spoke to a Volvo Mechanic friend of mine who told me to check the fuse about a foot back from the battery. Wire from + on battery to fuse holder. According to the friend the plastic fuse holder turns to garbage. Changed it and car now starts. Thought i might pass it on. No to run a new ground wire for the tailgate. wiper is slow and rear defroster coming on by itself. Should have run the wire when i changed the harnesses in the warm weather. Take care, Dave. PS the local dealer was out of the holders.
