740 turbo with erratic warm starts 700 1989

Fact: 1989 740 Turbo starts with no trouble on a cold start, but every so often on attempting a warm start the engine will turn over but will not fire. All checks on the ignition, the fuel pump relay, the radio suppression relay seem to come up negative. In fact, the mechanics can't find anything wrong with it -- it always starts for them -- but then when we try a warm start away from the garage, it fails to fire. When it fails to start, the waiting time can range from 5 mins to 60 mins of attempts before it successfully fires.

Battery has been replaced, the fuel pump was replaced....all with no effect on the problem at hand. Any advice or help to offer out there?
