I'm so embarassed... How to Change Air Filter on 740 Turbo 700 1990

I can't believe I have to ask, but I fought with the damn airbox yesterday for about 30 minutes before giving up. I detached the pipe from the air meter, detached the pipe from the intercooler, unhooked the cable to the air meter, released all the clips, and STILL couldn't remove the top of the airbox to get to the filter. It seems like it's catching on all kinds of peices, including the fender and the intercooler.

If I don't figure this out soon, I'm taking it to the dealer - how embarrasing.

I checked the FAQ, but obviously this lame question isn't in there... HELP!!!

Thanks in advance!
