The B230 series of engines already has a very adequate oil capacity, but increasing it won't hurt anything nor will an additional remote oil filter.

Removing the steel lines from the oil cooler destroys nothing. The integral fitting (on the oil cooler) has a hex portion to put a wrench on when you have another wrench on the tube nut. Using the back up wrench on the oil cooler integral fitting keeps from damaging anything. It isn't hard to do.

The oil cooler adapter on 1991 and earlier 700 series turbo cars has a 95ºC thermostat in it. Oil only flows to the oil cooler when it is hot. Plumbing into the oil cooler lines for an additional filter won't do what you want.

Most Aeroquip hose is rated to 250ºF working temperature, but some I know is rated to 300ºF working temperature. I would think the 300ºF rated hose would give excellent service depending how you installed it.

I have no idea what kind of remote and dual oil filter adapter you have, so I have no idea of the plumbing considerations. You could remote mount both filters and the oil cooler and install the adapter directly on the block similar to the 1986 and earlier oil cooler adapter installtions.
