245 high level brake light.

Hi Guys and Gals -

I have a 1984 245GL in which the wiring harnesses through the cargo door hinges are totally shot. The wiper is fixed and pointing North northeast.

So, I have rounded up stuff to fix the harnesses and to install a high level brake light. I have the post-1985 harnesses and the light assembly. The wiring installation is no big deal. Hooking the new style harnesses into the 1984 system will take only a few modifications.

Here's the problem: I have never examined a wagon installation of that brake light, so I don't know how it is mounted on the door. Is it just the glued on the glass system like a sedan, or is there more? If it's just the glue method, do you have any tips on how to get that glue-ing done?

Thanks for your consideration and assistance.

Bob
