would like to install AM/FM CD player on 6volt system 444-544 1961

I had a PV with 6V during the eighties, and had of course a proper stereo which had to be fed with 12V. At that time, one could buy transformators 6V-12V nicknamed "mascots" after the manufacturer which were designed just for car stereo's. Probably still available. Try their website www.mascot.no and look for DC/DC converters. Could not find any 6V/12V, but maybe a 12V/24V would do the same?
