Yes, they should be compatable. I used one from an 84 245 on my 87 745. One bolt from underneath, one bolt from above. You have to use a wrench from above and you get about 1/8 turn before you have to move the wrench, so it takes awhile. Make sure you have the right size. Disconnect the battery so you don't get lots of sparks.
