Foot Dipper Switch 120-130 1967

Simmy;

Two levels of upgrade are possible.

1. Reactivation of momentary headlight flasher (the wiring is there, but relay was not allowed to be installed for US delivered vehicles)...the brainiacs at the US DOT figured we couldn't handle such a complex function, rather mandating door buzzers and chemical explosions in your face!

2. Full upgrade to lo/hi beam controll from directional signal stalk. This requires installing the bystable relay (Part No. 1307991) as pictured in Jim's post (thanks for reference, Jim!)...it's pretty straightforward and painless...once you have the relay, it's a before-lunch-on-saturday-job!

Beware, these relays are high quality, reliable units, BUT if you upgrade your headlights to units higher than around 100W total, you MUST install booster relays to handle the increased current (or the bystable relay will not be not long for this world). If you are planning to do this, let me know, and I will come up with and post an addendum to the article.
