740 Remote locking 700 1990

Has anybody upgraded the central locking to remote operation on their 740?
If so, did you fit a complete kit, or just the remote kit and convert the drivers door by fitting either a Volvo or aftermarket lock motor?
I have heard of this being done by fitting a passenger door motor from the breakers yard but as a generic motor can be bought here (UK) for the equivalent of $15 it hardly seems worth the trouble of getting one out of a scrap car and then finding that they want as much, if not more than $15 for a second hand one.
Should I use a five wire motor and do away with the existing door lock switch, or use a two wire motor and keep the switch, or by using the the two switch wires to run the two wire motor saving running more wires through the door pillar?
Any advice ie. two or five wire motor, make of kit to use etc. greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Colin UK.
