ECT re-visited 700 1985

Thanx to all that contributed to the message I posted regarding the ECT removal. I hope that the "sister" involved is recovering nicely from the ridicule. I have a hint that may help others (unless I was lucky). I managed to re/re the ECT without much hassle or moving things around. As it turns out a 19mm socket carefully fits over the ECT as long as you have someone with small enough arms and hands to guide it (ie: my wife), after that a precarious assembly of socket extentions and tiny turns removed the sensor. Call on the small hands again (easy Don) to re-position sensor and socket and ta-da no fuss no muss new ECT installed. 10mins once I figured this out in -12C weather. I hope this helps.
