But if you put the jack stands under the axle, it takes care of it, right? when I replaced the clutch on my 85 245, I replaced a bunch of exhaust stuff including the cat and the front muffler and the front pipe. I remember it took some stretching, but the bands and everything went together without any extra jacking or manipulation. I had the entire exhaust out at this time. I did have the axle on stands.
