Recently inherited old (244) GL 200 1984

My uncle sold my his ol' grey, SwedeBrick.

The specimen is a doll but but needs some holidays in the body and a hole in the trunk patched. Should I go to a collision service, opt for sheet metal, go bondo, buy new body panels?

Other than the exterior, the broken intank fuel pump/sending unit replacement, the old and overdue timing belt/tensioner replacement, and precautionary water pump replacement; what do I need a heads-up on in the way of preventative maintenace?

I have become attached to this thing and wanna fix her up strong but on the cheap. I am not restoring or reconditioning here... just wanna get to 300,000.

I'm at 175,000 now. Wish me luck.
