Yea...we shoulda mentioned that its best to have it in nuetral prior to removing the gearshift.

But....we've all made the same mistake and learned the hard way... Try to remember which gear is was in when you took it off.... You can always grab a flashlight and take a peek down there and try to see where it needs to go.

Take your time and enjoy simple problems. You'll have much greater troubles down the road!
