carmel colored goo in hose leading to AMM??? 200

I was working on another fix yesterday when I had to remove AMM and accompaning hoses for access.
When I pulled apart the hoses I noticed to my horror a brownish carmel colored foaming ooze. (like the description?)
It looks like it is coming from the hose which comes off the flame trap (top) and goes to the air tube coming off the throttle body housing.

I replaced the flame trap about a month ago. It was dirty but not totally clogged. What would be causing this BCCFO to be pushed into a place it shouldn't be.
I also have an oil leak (small) that I was told was the rear main seal.
Is this related?
It seems to me to be a pressure problem and I am wondering what I can do to relieve this and hopefully not have to replace the rear main seal.
Any advice or thoughts would be great.

Thanks
Chapster out
