1993 240 wagon rear window washer nozzle - how do I remove it ? 200

I have a rear window washer on the wagon hatch that isn't spraying. I thought the reservoir was empty, but couldn't find a rear reservoir, so I guess the one in the engine compartment serves both front and rear, unlike my VW which has two tanks. I see two pumps under the hood and when my wife activates the rear washer, the pump runs. I can feel the pressure go up in the hose when I squeeze it between two fingers, yet nothing comes out the rear nozzle. I presume the nozzle is clogged and want to remove it to see if fluid comes out the hose, and if so, clean or replace the nozzle.

I can't figure out how to get the thing off and don't want to break it attempting to force it. The Bentley manual does not show how to remove it. Does anyone know how to get it off ?
