Down draft weber and parts 140-160

I have the weber conversion on my '71 145 and it has given me problems from the get go. I have learned that the venturi inserts in the barrels are a loose fit and allow fuel to wash down the walls of the carb rather than being atomized and burnt well. I am looking for someone who is experenced with these carbs or has acess to parts or advice on repair. Likewise I am always looking for suggested jet and emulsion tube sizes for my motor. Any help would be great thanks!
Wayne
