But the good news is that while relatively few 240s had cruise, the majority of 7 series had them. That means the system is easy to find. Your car is probably pre-wired for it too, making installation simple. Even at the worst, though European delivery cars are not pre-wired for cruise, they find the installation to be do-able there too. Let me know if you want a cruise kit.
