'88 744 NonTurbo BlowBy Positive Crankcase Pressure

*****ORIGINAL MESSAGE*****
Oil is leaking slowly from the oil filler cap on my nonturbo '88 744 w/ 225k miles. I replaced the rubber gasket on the filler cap and cleaned the PCV but it still seeps enough that oil drips on the valve cover and down the engine.
Does anyone have any troubleshooting ideas?

*****NEW MESSAGE*****
Since this initial message, I have checked/cleaned the oil separator, and replaced the vacumn hoses but am still getting blow-by positive pressure in the crankcase although it has diminished significantly.

I was recently advised by a local independent Volvo mechanic to run the engine for about 500 miles with a mixture of half motor oil and half ATF to clean it out and then replace with new oil and filter. Has anyone ever tried this?

Thank You...

Mike
