The first time I removed one I used a reciprocating saw with a metal blade, sawing a slot through the bushing from its inside. This will work if the center metal tube is already out, and the rubber won't bother the saw. Just don't do what I did the first time and saw through the parking brake cable. For installation of the replacement bushing I made up a rig quite similar to the ones described on this forum. The rig definitely works better for installation of a clean bushing.
