Diminished value 900

My '94 945T had the left quarter crunched. The body shop is almost done with it, they said there was no unibody damage, just the skin. I'm fighting with the insurance company now over what they refer to as "diminished value", how much value the car has lost because it was in an accident, all else being equal. Anyone have any thoughts? It has 175k on it but the running gear and engine are solid. It should have another 175k left. I was thinking it has lost somewhere in the region of $600-1,000. Is that unreasonable? BTW-I live in the Atlanta suburbs.
