Rubbing noise at speeds above 60 700

Well, folks, my 1990 GLE has some front end damage, right front fender is smashed back slightly, and the front bumper is pushed back and slightly down. With the cruise control set at any speed above 60, when the accelerator backs off (going downhill would be a good example), there is a rubbing/grinding noise, like something spinning is touching something else. It's not a loud noise, but it's noticeable. It's not there under 60, or when accelerating or just holding steady, only during deceleration. Braking has no effect on the sound, so I don't think it's anything in the brake system. Any thoughts on what it might be?

Mike
