How Do I Get Flames From My Tailpipe? 200 1979

I've been told that back in "the old days" the trick was to weld some bungs in the tail pipe toward the rear and screw in a spark plug and wire it to a coil and switch, I'm not sure what the fuel source was. I used to do this with my 64 Corvair (had a short glasspack on it) by flooring it, pulling the choke, cutting of the key for a few seconds, then turning the key back on. This method would get about a 6-8 foot long ball of flame out the back that would discourage all but the most ballsy tailgaters!
