Rack and pinion interchange 700 1990

is it possible to interchange a cam sytle and a zf rack? i want to take the whole rack and pinion setup out including the tie rods form a car with a zf style rack and put it on a car with the cam style rack. is the mounting on the zf and cam the same? what is the difference? is it possible?
