highest MPH! 200 1989

I had our 1990 245 automatic up to 100 mph a couple times, but it ran out of steam after that. It would just hit triple digits and go no farther, even if I kept the pedal floored for another mile or two. We live on a state highway that has a 10 mile straight stretch with only one slight curve in it, and I work nights, so sometimes I decide to "play" at 4am when no-one else is out.

Alas, the 1990 didn't survive an encounter with a full sized Dodge Ram truck (the truck's fault, and my wife was driving the Volvo), so we got a 1989 245 auto to play around with. I'm not very hopeful that will take me any deeper into triple digits though.
