I wonder how accurate a speedo is at those higher speeds anyway? I was in a '59 'Vette once going across the desert, as a passenger; the speedo easily hit the 160mph mark (the 'Vette was FAR from stock) a bit past the sight where James Dean bought the farm. Those were the days when mortality wasn't a consideration. Now I shudder when I hit 80 in the ol' brick.
