1988 Volvo Needs help - progress is experienced - oil question 200

Thanks to all who responded to my earlier post of yesterday. I did go out, unplugged the AMM and the vehicle started. Installed the old one and the car seems to run better than it did three weeks ago.

One of the items to check in the earlier post was the fuse holder right behind the battery. Under tyhe hood of our Volvo I do not see the holder - of the two wires coming off the positive post one goes to the started and the other to a small 'box' on the left fender. Am I not looking in the right place?

My next steps are to set the idle, check the output of the temperature sensor and the O2. Is there anything else I should check before getting it retested for passing emmissions? So far I did tune it up, replaced the tube between the AMM and the throttle body, cleaned up the throttle body and cleaned the fire trap. Vehicle runs much better now and I am not accused of 'breaking' it anymore.

One question I do have involves the oil light on the dash. In my work yesterday I noticed the wire from the sending unit was unplugged. I plugged it in and guess what - the light comes on at idle. Pressure reading on mechanical gauge is about 5 pounds at idle and increases up to the 30 - 35 pound range at 2500 rpm. No 'strange' noises (bearing problems) are heard at idle. Are these values within range?

Once again thanks for the help and support.
