Which wires for Power to Radio 200 1990

I hooked up a CR 712 with:

Hot from ignition switch, to the green wire that goes to the radio.

Hot all the time, to the wire on car side of connector that is fat and red but blue on radio side of connector.

No connection, to the small black wire on car side of connector and grey on radio side of connector.

Now the radio will work without turning on the ignition switch. I think I burned out a radio in the past from this type of connection.

What should I do now to figure the correct wiring connection? (I am installing this in a 1990 760T so looking to connect by wire color in the car won't work.)

Thanks.
