Anyone out there with an '89-'93 240 wagon??? HELP!! 200

I am wanting to verify that others with an '89-'93 wagon have a particular drain hole to drain water from the cargo windows into the spare tire well and storage well on both sides of the car. This drain is less than 1/4" in diameter and can be felt by taking off the vertical panel on the rear driver's side of the cargo area. This panel is taken off to replace tail light bulbs. The hole is an inch or so from the rear of the window in front of the tail light sockets and is underneath the window between the body and the gasket. It cannot be seen unless you stick your head into the frame where the panel was. There is a 1" diameter wrap of wires (going to the tail light I think) that runs right below the window inside of the frame that covers this hole to some extent. If you feel with your finger underneath this area it can be detected. It is in front of the pinch weld which would place it in-line with the weep holes on the outside of the car--i.e. this hole could also be seen if one were to lift up the gasket on the outside near the rear of the window and look all the way back against the pinch weld.

I have been having a problem with my rear quarter (cargo) windows leaking. Water has been leaking from underneath the gasket on the inside. I discovered that part of the problem was due to some sort of sealant stopping up the "weep holes" on the outside bottom portion of the gasket. There are 4 weep holes on each side BTW. I got it to where water will run out of these holes and I thought I had my problem fixed over the weekend...I placed a sprinkler on the car and then got in to see if there was any leakage from underneath the gasket on the inside. There was none. But, there was a steady stream of water coming from a hole at the back of the window and it was dripping straight into the spare tire well. This was happening on the pass. side as well. I placed my finger up underneath there and plugged the hole. About two seconds later the seal started leaking all along the length of the seal. All along, water was seeping out of the weep holes on the outside of the car. So, it appears that the weep holes cannot handle a lot of water, so the excess drains from the hole inside. I just cannot imagine that Volvo would have designed it this way though. It almost makes me think that my gaskets are tired and worn out and not directing the water out of the weep holes enough.

Thank you in advance for looking at this. I'm almost at my wits end!
