Sounds odd to me too. 140-160

I have been looking at a gearbox from a Datsun Stanza which were available here in Australia from 1978-83. The gearbox type no. is FS5W63A. The nice thing about this gearbox is that 1st is to the left and back with reverse to the left and up. The other 4 gears are then in a conventional H pattern. The g'box is almost the same length as the remote Volvo M40 4 speed. I have manged to find a clutch plate out of an Isuzu 4 wheel drive, the cover of which matches the 8 bolt flywheel holes and the plate splines match the Datsun gearbox. I am in the process of trying to mate the 2 with a plate.
Incidently the bottom 2 holes on the bellhousing of this gearbox match up exactly to the bottom 2 holes of the backplate on an MGB engine. Have driven one of these conversions and it was great.
