Glowing exhaust manifold B20 1800

Having installed a new Crane ignition on a 73ES, I noticed that my exhaust maniflod was glowing orange, I reset my timing and have now reduced it to a faint glow at the point where it connects to the down pipe. This is only visible in the dark of night. Has anyone happened to notice this on a B20?
