Peking to Paris Rallye on History travel Channel! At least 3 Amazons spotted! 120-130

Brad;

I didn't mean to tease! We have a computer in our fam/TV room, so I posted that real-time, just as the show was starting last night...on our cabel system: History (Travel) Channel (I expect it's syndicated and available on a number of cable and sat(?) systems), and that was the second time I had seen the show, so maybe it will be on again sometime...nicely produced, with a good mix of beautiful, interesting, although sometimes desolate scenery, personal ordeals of the teams, and vehicular stories (brocken shocks and drive-trains from poor "roads", and no engine power from "thin air" in Nepal, etc.). The Rallye is a recreation of an event from 1905, in which only 4-5 vehicles took part. In the 1997 event, some 80 or so vintage vehicles (some more vintage than others) participated...the show easily beats some idiotic sitcom from Hollywood.

Good Watching!
