Hello.
Could it be the funky Gross jets causing the problem? Just curious... cause I had them in my car a while ago(got them from a local mini shop.) and I was constantly having carb problems... (Everytime I take the dome off, I can see the fuel level by the jet is always different...and even had the float bowl over flowing once... that wasn't so fun...) So I went to my volvo shop, got the proper type... (looked like the old one, but had some kinda rubber tip...) And then the carbs seemed much more tune-able
Just an idea...
