'Power flush' doesn't help!! 200 1983

Car is running warmer than normal, needle is about the same width from overheating as the orange band is wide(about 9:45.)- causing the engine to fail inspection due to high nox( high combustion temp). Took it to Firestone for the "powerflush" with "super" chemicals and high pressure, didnt help a bit. Only charged me $55, said he felt sorry for not helping the problem. Got home and popped the hood, the coolant is up to the top- going out to drain some off to the max level as CLEARLY marked on the tank, maybe it was his first coolant flush job?(THATS why I like to do the work myself!)

Well, I'm about out of options- would messing with the timing as seen in the FAQ help with high nox? I would set it back to normal later because it runs like a top now with a new AMM, tstat, 3 row Nissens, cleaned TB, new accordion hose, no vacumn leaks, cleaned oil seperator and pvc nipple, new plugs, coil, dist top, wires, ETC,ETC!!!

I can rebuild the engine and get the block hot tanked, or sell it out of county! Don't want to do either when the car runs GREAT!!(Okay there is a leak at the rear tailshaft bushing-got the repair kit) Breadman
